I've been lurking for quite a while now and doing lots of reading. I participate in several other forums for other disiplins and learn a lot from them as I do here.
Tonight I made my first attempt at my own brew. I got a starter kit from Stein Fillers here in Long Beach (4 blocks from work, how lucky am I??). The first attempt was the Pale Ale that comes with the kit.
Things seemed to be going OK until I put it in the cold bath and I flooded it a little bit with the cooling water. Fail. I don't know how much got in and if it will mess it up but I'm a bit worried. Either way, it was good practice and I learned a lot and now I know how not to screw things up next time. Should I bag it and start over or cross my fingers?
Anyway, I'm glad to be here and hoping to learn from all of you.
