Hi all, just had my first draft Dogfish Palo Santo Marron...What an amazing beer...Very hearty at 12% but extremely drinkable...Little on the pricey end but great malty flavor with a hint of alcohol heat on the back end...Kinda floats thru the olfactory...Nice caramel and vanilla hints...If you have the opporitunity seek it out and enjoy it

I have access to some good chips of Palo Santo wood and thought of toasting some to age a beer on. The smell of the wood alone is amazing, but strong. I'm kinda worried that it'd be easy to overdo.

sam is one crazy dude. he spent something like a couple million dollars to have a 10k gallon aging barrel made out of that wood.

This is also one of my recent favorite beers - very drinkable, and the alcohol is very well masked... it will creep up on ya after a couple though!
