Just got directed to this site by a friend. Ordered by first brew kit yesterday, have been reading on here for several days now, can't wait to get my first brew done!

Welcome to HBT from Roswell! The first one is prob the most exciting, and might be your worst :drunk: (j/k, mine wasn't).

Wait till you read advice on this threat about something you wondered about, you can't wait to try it out. :mug:

Welcome from Sandy Springs. I'm new to bring this year too. May be too new to give advice but the most important piece of equipment to have is a hydrometer and the best mindset to have is patience...I'm still working on that one.:)

Got my brew-kit in the mail today, picking up a turkey fryer tomorrow, planning on doing a dry-run on my first batch sunday, then the real thing monday! I'm like a kid on christmas morning, my wife just laughed at me while i opened my brew kit today.

Welcome from Decatur! Good luck on the first brew. Mine was actually pretty good. The second brew was a different story. Only one I ever dumped.

I picked up a bayou classic at Home Depot for ~$50 and it easily boils 5 gal of water/wort. I think it's going to be nice weather for brewing this weekend!

I'm brewing tomorrow and couldn't round up any company. If anybody wants to brew at my house tomorrow around 3-4pm PM me.
