New Brewer from Houston

I got a Mr.Beer kit and already thinking about upgrading to a larger kit. Some friends gave me some homemade brew and it was great, cant wait to get started.


What are some brew shops in Houston??

I'm in Conroe. I only know of 2 brew shops in houston. Defalcos http://www.defalcos.com/ and The Brew Stop (site is down) but it's in north houston, located at 16460 Kuykendahl #140 just north of 1960. One in south houston and one in north.

DeFalco's is the only one I've been to in Houston, but they're very helpful. Worth stopping in!

Seems like there are a lot of new brewers from Houston these days... I was born and raised in Conroe - Cut-N-Shoot anyone? Spent a few years in Lufkin before moving to South GA where I've been ever since. I still have a lot of friends around that area and both sides of my wife's family are from there as well. It been years since I've been back - probably wouldn't even recognize it anymore.
