There was a "Rita's Italian Ice" that went out of business, and they had a yard sale today... I was excited for it, but when I got there it was like the owners personal goods, and really little of the "restaurant equipment".

That's when I realized the best thing was right under my nose!

A nice stainless 2' x 3' prep table! (The kegs in the pic I already owned before today).

Also, they had the old buckets that the Italian Ice was in... 18 quarts, and marked on the sides at every 2 quarts, with a really great snap tight lid.

Picked up the table and 8 buckets with lids for...

$23.50!

Score!

So now instead of building a wooden stand for my electric set-up, I am now in business with this!

And the best part, the lower shelf on the stand is adjustable, so I can put it to whatever height I desire. Additionally, if I need to shorten it, I can cut the legs to length, and the "feet" will slide right back in. Lastly, the legs will take casters if I want to go that route.

Stoked on the score, and stoked to have my brew stand "done" ;)

Oh yeah, and being able to house a 1/2 barrel and 4 cornies on the shelf is a plus too!

Oooh! That is a nice score. I have been looking for one of these tables for my garage. Hope I get it for $23 so I can gloat. =]

Nice table. I've discovered that when restaurants...especially franchised restaurants go out of business, they tend to sell all the equipment to another franchisee. The franchisee or potential franchisee who buys the equipment either uses it immediately or stores it until he/she can afford a new franchise fee. I thought I was going to have an opportunity to pick up some equipment from a Quiznos that bought the farm. But it was a package deal. I'm still waiting to swoop in on a nice glass door commercial fridge.

Yeah, craigslist certainly can, but in this area we are not densely populated to say the least, so craigslist "scores" are rare. In three years I haven't seen anything like this in this area...
