Here are some picts of the new beer stand I made.

Mash Tun

One of three old water heater burner.

I used old water heater burners and use the natural gas from the house as fuel. I found that the burners work well, a little slow on the boil. Eventuly I would like to upgrade to a better burner. I had a buddy from work help with the welding and the buddy I brew with helped with the piping. I used old furnace gas valves and refrigeration thermostats to control the HLT and MASH temps. I figure we have around $300.00 invested. All in all I am very happy with the way it works.

Seriously it looks really good. If I put my nose against the screen and squint a little bit. This feels like trying to watch porn on the squiggly channel.

The camera is a little dated I know. I could not figure out how to inlarge the picts. The pumps are little giant pumps that I bought from Grainger. They work well once they are primed.

Wow I was less intimidated when the pictures were smaller. That looks like a really sweet rig for a really really low price.

Awesome work - looks great , but $300 ? I would think the pumps alone would be pushing that money total up higher. A quick scan of pumps on Grainger shows 150F max temperature, which model are you using?

I have had these pumps for a long time so I guess I forgot to add them to the total. ($300.00 sounds good to the wife I guess) I beleve the part number I have is the 2p039 rated for 200F. I may not be correct however.
