Hey guys. I've recently been building a rims system, and I'm almost finished. The last piece of the puzzle to install is the propane system. Now, I don't have a whole lot of experience with these, and I want to make sure I set it up right. The burners I purchased were from bayouclassicdepot.com, specifically the bg 14 model. http://bayouclassicdepot.com/bg14_cast_iron_burner.htm Now, the cast iron burner came with three accessories. An air control disc that is slotted on the back, an orifice to connect the propane hose, and a spring. Unfortunately, there were no installation instructions, so I'm not very confident in putting these together. So, here are my main installation questions:

1. Where does the spring go? Between the burner itself and the air control disc?

2. Depending on how I rotate the air control disc, I can either line up the slots to basically expose the internal area of the burner that the propane is flowing through or line it up to block this altogether. Why is this an option and how should I rotate it?

I think thats it guys, thanks in advance to whoever can assist!

The disk is used to control airflow to the burner - you'll need to adjust it when using the burner to get the right gas mix. You're looking to get a bright blue flame. If it's open too you'l get a yellow flame and little heat. If it's too far closed you'll get an inefficient flame and will waste propane.

I believe the spring goes between the burner housing and the disk, and the orafice goes through both and into the housing. You want it be tight enough without preventing the disk from turning. Make sure to test everything for gas leaks, and call a plumber if you're not sure.

Ok, nevermind. After more research, I found a thread that mentioned to check out this video . It answered my questions completely, in case anyone else has the same questions.
