new bakersfield brewer

Hey guys im new to brewing and only have 2 extract brews under my belt and figured if i came to a good forum my beers and experience would start getting better. I bought a bunch of stuff off a friend really cheap and already falling head over feet when it comes to brewing. I just cant wait for the weekends to make beer and almost cant stand the wait to drink it.

Bakersfield huh? I just drove here on Sunday to see my family. I'm originally from Bakersfield but moved when I was 7 and have have been in northern CA ever since. Now Im in San Francisco. Welcome and have fun keeping those fermentation temps down in the scorching summers!
