will I attempt to do a 4 gallon boil in a 5 gallon pot! I was making a double batch for a school reunion and I maxed out the pot. I had to add the extract a few pounds at a time, and ride the valve on the banjo burner the whole time to head off (most of the) boilovers. A few still made it over the edge, but didn't lose much wort. Took forever to cool, too. Gotta get my plate chiller going I guess! Anyway, at least I have this in my fridge now:

I tend to push the limit on wort boil as well. One of these days, I'll learn my lesson.:p
