Turns out that Cape Cod Beer only has stuff for making beer and a few wines. I was looking for a place nearby to possibly get mead yeast. I was just hoping that google was wrong and I wouldn't have to go ¾ of the way to Boston.

When I make mead, it's usually with Nottingham, D-47 or EC-1118. I'll bet that they have at least 2 of those 3.

EC-1118 is fine if you're using cheaper honey and want it dry. Don't get me wrong, it's great because it'll ferment anything and be quick about it, but any subtle flavors from the honey get blown out the airlock.

Not sure where on Cape you are located and I have never been to http://newfarmstore.com/ before, it is in Orleans, but looks like they have a good selection.

Off Cape near me there is http://www.adegabeernwine.com/ in Westport, MA, which is where i go for my supplies.

Also, Another place I havent checked out yet is http://tamarackhomebrewsupply.com/ in Lakeville, MA.

Edit: wow, I hope you have found a LHBS by now, I just realized the date of the first post. I saw this thread pop up in the "newest threads" and commented without looking.

That's okay. I'm actually off Cape now, living on the South Shore. So that LHBS that was a long way away from me is now my closest LHBS. :-þ
