Loved to brew with my older brother! Would like to try to do it myself! Bro passed away two years ago! Where do I start. Are brew kits worth it. I think my boyfriend will love it if I get me in to it.

Yay, another girl...

Yes, I reckon your bf will definitely love it.

I just got myself a Coopers Micro-Brew kit that has everything I need to do a first brew... and it holds the full 23L brew (30L primary). I like it so far... but only three days into my first brew fermentation...

I would just suggest making sure whatever kit you get handles the full 23L...

But I'm sure other more experienced brewers will have better words of wisdom for you. :)

Welcome :)
By "kits" do you mean recipe kits?
If so, then they are worth it until you get the hang of things and want to make your own recipes, which for me, when I got to that point, was tweeking kits to my liking.
If you haven't already checked them out, either Midwest Supplies or Northern Brewer are two online supply houses, that are "near" you, that carry a wide variety of recipe styles, that you could get in a day or two.
Cheers, :mug:

Equipment kits? I recommend starting with a basic kit from your Local Home Brew Supply (LHBS), which has the fermenter, capper, etc. Or, you can order from one of the online stores like Austin Homebrew supply, Midwest, or Norther brewer.

Ingredients kits are also a good way to go too. You will probably want to build your own recipes after you've got tons of experience, but for starters, you can't go wrong picking a style of beer you like, and buying the kits. So easy!
