I am very new to craft beer and would luke to learn more does anyone have some helping hints or books suggestions

Charlie Papazian's The Complete Joy of Home Brewing (3rd edition is most current).

Micheal Jackson's Beer Companion discusses commericial breweries. (a bit dated now but still good info)

two good books, but the best info comes from right here! :rockin: ask any questions you may have, and they will get answered quickly.

Brewing Classic Styles is a great book for styles and what goes into them and why, with recipes for each style. It's by Jamil Zainasheff.

Designing Great Beers by Ray Daniels is a great book for designing your own recipes, and the different ingredients in each style.

Brewing Classic Styles (BCS) is awesome!

I'm a huge newbie to this hobby, and I'm using BCS to plan out all my upcoming recipes. Got everything plugged into excel. Also enjoyable to read about the style, and also check out Jamil's podcast, "The Jamil Show" - can be found on iTunes under Podcasts. (Brew Strong is also a good show Jamil does with John palmer, however it is more on technique than styles)

Welcome to HBT. As has been said, John Palmer on the web; For an in depth site .... HBT has the answer or discussions in threads or sticky's for anything you can think of from barley to water. Use the search to find the any question you can think of. The "sticky's" are at the top of every forum. Welcome and enjoy. Cheers:D

You will be able to find almost everything you need here, but for more organized information a book is the way to go, cheers!
