Need help tracking Instagram account.

my daughter is being bullied by an anonymous Instagram account. Is it possible to find out where the account is originating from? Instagram has not been very helpful in this matter. I will be more than happy to share details via PM.

Already done, Instagram removed some of the content but not all. Also the account has gone out to her friends and others in the school, can’t block that.

Instagram may not be of any help, but if she is getting personal e-mails as well as social media harassment, an IP address can be tracked or located. You can see if the source is local or elsewhere ... depends how far you want to push it.

If the person is stupid or gullible enough, set up a throw-away public e-mail address as bait, and invite them to "discuss" their problem personally. If they engage, save e-mails and keep copies or screenshots.
Each message will have a source and destination IP address and timestamp you can track to the user. It may go as far as getting legal court orders and personal representation to resolve the problem.
