So I'm in some dire need here. I've got everything I need to brew except one tiny piece. I need a orifice for my burner. I've searched the net quite a bit, and have only found one place that sells what I need. But with the piece price and shipping it's going to cost me $20. I'm afraid to find an local shop to see what they would charge to machine the orifice I need. If anyone here could help me out by finding what I need, or if you could make it and charge less than $20 shipped. I would be eternally greatful. Oh and the piece is a 1/8 female pipe thread x 1/8 male pipe thread #56 size orifice.

Shop rates can be expensive, well over $100 and hour. And while its a small part that the OEM probably makes for pennies, they are spitting them out in 10,000+ part lots.

As a machinist myself, I'd just buy it, at least until I had a lathe in my garage!

Not sure if you can make this orifice work:. . .
The strange thing here is that he's looking for a 1/8 female pipe thread x 1/8 male pipe thread #56 size orifice.
Not sure how the female thread works into it, but your link has two male threads.

Wonder if you could buy one of these flare plugs and modify it?

At the moment I'm attempting to use JB Weld and used a needle for the hole. Hopefully it works and I won't need the orifice for awhile.

Ok so tried the JB Weld idea. That's a big no go. Not sure where I messed up but I definitely didn't get it to work right. So back to searching for an orifice.
