The "Evil Dead" flicks and "Snakes on a Plane" are campy on purpose.

This is a far cry from "Battleship Earth" which tries to be a serious movie.

Well. Where to start. I truly believe that if one is in pursuit of true movie terribleness then you cannot limit yourself. The foremost and number one genre for this is horror. If you are looking for true horrible movies you MUST look at this genre. And do not fear for you will truly be rewarded.

Sheer horribleness you must watch the entire Return of the dead family. This is so awesomely great that my FIL and I watched about 6 movies back to back one day. To the sheer annoyance of SWMBO. Great day.

I have a four pack of British horror movies that are RIDICULOUS. I don't mean they are gorey, or scary, or even creepy. THEY ARE STUPIDLY AWSOME. The gem out of the bunch is probably this.

I saw a few movies mentioned here that I take exception to. Cube for one. That is an awesome movie. The entire Saw franchise I believe is a rip off of these movies. That said if you want a crap movie don't watch that. Dog soldiers was also very good, considering the budget.

Another good horror flick that is horrible in a good way is.

This movie is funny as hell. IMHO.

How about the Robocop series? That is pretty astoundingly terrible.

A couple movies by Matt and Trey are awesome in my opinion. I know you mentioned no gore so will give you some other options.

Orgasmo. Come on. The name alone is awesome.

Alferd Packer: The Musical

I watched Journey to the center of the earth, on a long flight a bit ago, that was torture. Not sure I would recommend that.

And honestly the best way to watch awesomely horrible movies is in fact MST3k.

I am sure I can come up with far better when I have my full wits.

I have a cardboard chainsaw sitting about 6 feet away from me right now. I'm going to be Ash for Halloween. My girlfriend's going as a deadite.

I also have a large Tom Servo tattoo on my arm.

I win.

You are officially my hero. My Handle has been Ash for over a decade online. Or some close semblance.

BTW. Pics or it didn't happen. When it happens of course.

Oh, there will be pictures. We'll have to start a costume thread.

My girlfriend found this awesome vinatge dress today. She also couldn't figure out why I didn't just want to take my sawed off double barrell shotgun instead of the cardboard one.

Movie series that are bad in a somewhat watchable way:
Trancers
Dollman
American Ninja
Beastmaster
Police Academy (Yeah, I know 1 was good)

Single movies I haven't seen listed yet:
Warrior of the Lost World
Alan Quartermain and the Lost City of Gold
The Hunger
the Hercules starring Lou Ferigno
Andy Warhol's Frankenstein
Supergirl

chefchris,

Is your avatar Arch Hall Jr? Because if it is...you are also my hero.

OP,
Find anything produced, directed, or whatever by Roger Corman e.g. Death Race 2000

Why yes ... yes it is Arch Hall, Jr. I made that graphic the other morning. Gonna get it printed on a shirt.

EEEEGAAHHHH!!!!!

Worst Movie I have EVER SEEN would have to be Death Sport BY FAR the ****tiest movie I own which is why I own it.... For those poor saps who say they like bad movies you know, to put them in their place

You must watch COSMOS: War of the Planets.

Routinely rated worst movie ever (for movies that are an actual attempt at being good). My daughter cannot even hear the soundtrack without feeling ill. So bad. So bad.

On a more positive note, there is one scene where you can sort of see through a woman's uniform if you are paying attention. Yup, that's the only thing good about it!

Must see 80's B-Movie...

The Stuff
Released 1985

Someone recently recommended Faith Like Potatoes. It was so bad I wanted to slit my wrists.
Trouble is I can't remember who recommended it. I have vowed to find out so I can take revenge. From now on Im keeping a list of who recommended which movie - just in case.

Curse of the Ninja

the original of course, if you can find it. it has an old, fat japanese woman topless for a scene. The voice overs are so terrible.

Zero Hour (1957)

This isn't really that bad however, "Airplane!" is a direct parody of this flick. Right down to Lt Ted Striker as an ex-fighter pilot who lost his squadron.

If you are a fan of "Airplane!" this is a must see. It is a drama but you will be laughing your ass off.

Watch out for snakes!

That being said, here are my two suggestions. First, I'm shocked nobody has yet to mention Gymkata. Any movie featuring [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gTkUcXGF_Q"]a conveniently-placed pommel horse in an Eastern European town square[/ame] is worth watching. The second is much harder to track down (it was made for TV) but Atomic Twister is unintentional comedy gold. It features Zack Morris as the town-saving cop and has a cameo from Carl Lewis (wanna bet whether he was able to outrun a tornado?).
