Its 1 am, so i dont have any pictures, but before i went to work today i got my first homebrew setup. With the carboys, hoses and endless grolsch bottles, came a strange plastic party keg. It is white, and looks like a teardrop. Has 5 gal markings on the side. Uses co2 cartrages that are straight up on the screw on lid. The tap is in the middle (up and down) of the keg, and the back connects to a hose and float, ensuring you always get the top of the beer, no sedement. It seems great, but im not sure if i should be using priming sugar and achieve my "fizz" in the keg, or if that dinky co2 unit will have what it takes to force carb. Thanks for any information. Pictures to come soon if nobody knows what i mean.

Yeah i thought so, but i can say party pig, or tap-a-draft and those pictures instantly come to mind. I'll get'em tomorrow.

It sounds to me like a top tap king keg.

Common with British and Irish homebrewers.

Is that the one?

Ok it's almost the same keg from what I gather, basically the purpose of that CO2 cylinder is just to fill the headspace and stop oxidisation and provide a "bit" of a push, I don't think it's enough to force carb beer, you'll still have to prime the beer at the same rate using sugar as you would when bottling.
