Your name is excellent, but spell it like this:

Awesome yoop!
Good jorb getting a pup from the pound and congrats on the yellow lab! You don't see alot of pure labs at the humane society or shelter..

I love my lab to death, she is so much fun to have around. So playful, loyal and loving. Any lab i've ever been around is the same.

I have the perfect name for a lab. Porter.

Bob said Porter is a great name, for a black lab especially! He told our daughter (age 18) that he likes the name Koda, and now she's hyped up on that, too. My son is more laid back and really doesn't have any preferences.

Glad you liked it! I just think Porter is a very friendly sounding name. I have an uncle that used to show labs when he was younger, he had a female champion named Blaze. Always liked that name too!

It sounds like Koda is catching on!

I have to commend you as everyone else has for getting your dog from a shelter. It's really too bad that people will get pets and then not take care of them only to abandon them or turn them in to the shelters. It's great that there are people like you who will take them in and give them a chance.

Koda or whatever is name will be is going to be one happy dog! This summer at the cottage will be great for him.

I still don't know! Bob and Tara like Koda, and haven't changed. I'm still thinking it over. I have a feeling Bob will win this one, unless I convince him otherwise!

We don't get him until next week, so I still have a little time.

Thanks for helping me think up some names- I love some of them!

The greatest name ever for that guy would have to be Björn Türoque (Pronounced Born Too Rock) complete with the unnecessary umlots over the o and the u.

I found a kitten that I temporarily named Björn Türoque, but then I brought it to the vet and found out it was a girl and had to change its name.

If I ever get another dog I want to name him Vorlauf

It's have to be a German Shepard, though. I've always liked "Fuggles" as a dog name, but that's for like an English sheepdog, or maybe just some kind of little anklebiter.

I've voting for Koda, that's a good dog name (although people may think that it's short for "Dakota," which I don't like).

I'd call him Lager because he is yeasty colored, was stored at the pound for a while, and will lay down on your floor.

He deserves a nice big dogbed to flocculate on. :)

Haha- that's awesome. My kids now are thinking of "Toby". I think I'm going to lose on naming him something beer related.

I told my kids that we have to call him whatever we name him for the next 12 years or so, so it should be a good name. We still haven't decided, but we're not picking him up until Tuesday.

I wanted to name our last dog Khan.

that way at night when I had to call him in I could stand outside shaking my fist in the air and yell "KHAN!!!"

I think Koda is cool.

Beer related:

- Chinook, cause it sounds kinda Native American..
- Leffe, cause it's kinda blonde.

Non-Beer:

- Dahmitt, cause it'd be fun for the whole family to yell "Dahmitt, get back here" come on, if it needs training you know you will anyway.

- Putih (Poo-tay), not native american but means White.
- Anjing (Anne - jean), cause it means Dog.

REX!

Because if you have ever had a Lab pup, you know he WRECKS everything in the house for the first 2 years of his life.

Hide your good shoes!

Fight for pickles, Yoop. I mean, it's pickles. Imagine calling Pickles over and seeing some goofy golden lab smiling with his tongue hanging out running your way. You'd laugh every time.
