How are you doing with the planning board?
I take it they have approved the licence?

They approved the Restaurant/Bar. We had to file a conditional use permit for the brewery. That is under review as we speak. We won't be able to brew on sight for probably 3-4 months after we open.

Very cool. I am surprised how little room the kitchen appears to take up. Are you serving your beer from kegs or straight from pressurized bright tanks?

We have 5 single wall brite tanks that will sit in the walkin. along with beer poured from kegs for the guest taps.

The occupancy permit on file with the city shows 130. We won't have that many seats. Probably around 80. The restaurant floor space including back bar, kitchen, storage and walkin is around 2600 sf.

More framing on the bar and back bar

I live about two blocks away from you, and I am WAY stoked to have a nice brewpub in Greenwood. Looking forward to many good pints!

Will the pub be open by Labor Day? :)

I doubt it. However, We just got word on Friday that DPD has approved the final plans and we should have stamped permits this week. Once we get those in hand, we can call in for inspections and start covering things up. It should all move pretty fast from that point on.

We hope to have the taphouse open by late September/early October and the brewery by the end of the year.

I'll post updated pictures once we start hanging sheet rock.

Things are starting to move along very quickly now. We have all of our permits and have passed plumbing, electrical and framing inspections. Monday we got all the trenches filled and started framing the barrier wall between the family dining area and the bar.

Today we started hanging sheetrock and paneling the bar area. we should finish the sheetrock by tomorrow and we can finish mudding the walls and getting them ready for paint.

The walk in cooler is scheduled for installation tomorrow.

Here are a few more pics.

This is awesome. Things do look like they're moving along quickly, and hopefully smoothly. Thank you so much for sharing this exciting time with all of us!

if I can ever open a brewpub I will die happy
Hopefully not right when you opened it, though -- it'd be nice to own it for awhile first. :)

As to the OP's brew pub in progress, looking good. If I ever were to find a reason to be in the area, I'll be sure to drop in.

Holy hell, Don. Mucho congrats! Sunny and I were innocently driving through Greenwood on the way back from washing the dog and I saw the Naked City logo on the building and about pooped my pants from excitement. I cannot wait to visit your place with extreme regularity.

If there's anything I can do to help out, please let me know!

lol, next time your in the neighborhood stop by. We're there 12-14 hours a day trying to get this thing built.

Speaking of... Here are a few more pics of the progress. We should be ready for paint by the weekend! :ban:

View from the front door. All the drywall is up, taped and mudded. Bar trim pieces will go on first of next week.

The 10' x 16' walk-in cooler was put up on Tuesday. Tomorrow it'll get electricity.

Another view from the front door showing more of the barrier wall. The liquor control board requires this wall to separate the bar area from the family friendly area. Even though you can drink in both areas...don't ask.
We put a bar top on it so at least people can sit at it and drink.

Of course, I always have to stay connected to HBT. :mug:

I'll be in Seattle in mid-Nov. Looks like I'm going to need to pop in. Looking good!

Livin the dream, fella! It's really shaping up nicely... Looks like about the right size if I were to open a place. I need to set up a West Coast trip....
