Hello-
We started brewing cider last week, and it has recently started to develop a nail polish like smell, and the bubbling in the airlock has slowed down considerably. Is this something that we should be worried about?
Thanks

Sounds like normal fermentation esters. Give it a couple more weeks on the yeast to clean up.

I had the same thing in a stout I made, I think I underpitched the yeast after proofing. We gave it an extra two weeks in primary and now its pretty drinkable. Not great, but not going down the drain either.
