Hello, my stainless steel kettle changed color after I cleaned it . I used an alcaline cleaner. It has this color in the bottom and it got some kind of stain. Is this a problem? Can it be fixed? How mucj worried should I be?
 
the discoloration is an oxide layer and the rainbow is because of thin-film interference, this is just fine for the performance and longevity of your ss kettle
