Holy cow! (or is that Holy Venison!) That is a huge deer. My son liked seeing that picture just now. It's really cool that you also have the trail cam picture of the same deer. I'm impressed.

Truly a deer of a lifetime for the average hunter. He shot it on some land that his sister just bought. He never even scouted! Adams county WI, just South and a little East of Adams/Friendship.

Are you sure he's 15? Kid's got a phat goatee. That's great he got one - I grew up out here in Oregon hunting and it was a very positive experience for me, although I no longer am into it.

Did he get a little taste of homebrew after this pic?

Haha- yep he's 15. Believe me, I was there when he was born. I was on his case last week about trimming the beard now. He looks like he could be in ZZ Top.

No homebrew for him- he hates beer and wine! I think he'd take a sip of my hard lemonade now and then if let him. He makes root beer occasionally though, and it's really good!

Hey cookie, what did that deer score, and also how did it fair for the state record?

Yooper...looks like that deer hadn't been field dressed yet....whats up with that?

He took the deer in for processing and the head just went in to the taxidermist yesterday.

He called B&C and got the names of a few people who will score it. My rough guess would be 170's to 180's. At any rate, it's a really awesome buck!

State record is the "Jordan" buck shot near Danbury in 1914. It held the B&C world record for typical whitetail at 206 1/8 until the "Hanson" buck was shot in Biggar, SK in 1993. That buck holds the world record for typical whitetail at 213 5/8.
