I brew outside, just inside the roll up door on my shop. I tried a couple extract kits inside this winter and hated it. Thus, I’m outside with the pine pollen flying, dipping maple helicopters out of my kettle with a big smile on my face! Cheers! 🍻

Remember those days- too early for that misery around these parts- truth be told, I dont miss it,(pine pollen, leaves ,bird crap etc.) I'm set up well for inside brewing 24/7 , but brewing outside will always hold a place dear to.me, irs where it all began- thanks for the memory!

my only outdoor brew was on my back porch. the biggest issue i had with it was having to babysit it for the full mash and boil cycles to keep bees and stuff away from it. i like being able to walk away and listen for the alerts for the next step. also transporting the water and wort was further and much more difficult. no problem with tree bits tho. its covered. if i ever do build my brew shack, a small porch might be nice to have for brewing on nice days...🤔

I bought a kegerator from a guy that had the most ingenious setup I have ever seen. He had been brewing on his carport, just inside the rollup door as I do at my shop. However, he got tired of dealing with the bugs, bees, etc. and framed up a screen wall with a walkthrough screen door inside the rollup doorway. So now, when he raises his garage door, there’s a screen wall there. Obviously, he can’t pull a car in there now, but this space was complete with his whole brewing setup, refrigerators, canning machine, and a fully outfitted bar with stools off to one side! It was the most awesome thing I’ve ever seen; even had nice rugs on the floor!
