those nipples are no joke, watch out. i had a small leak as well, so i doubled up on the teflon tape. seems solid. I need to get a washer to go right behind the ball valve. when its closed the valve handle is in contact with the cooler.

i'm mashing in mine right now. man that was so much easier than mashing in my 5gal rubbermaid.

let me know how well it maintains temps. can't wait to use mine but in the middle of a snowstorm right now and don't want to go in my garage. gonna wait until spring to do all grain
