SWMBO has all but dictated I build a brewhouse... she wants my junk out of the house! Looks great... I'll probably steal a few ideas from yours, and add a fermentation closet like EdWort's as well. The tile and floor drain, along with the deep sinks, would really make life easier.

First: A very professional looking brewhouse. It is something to aspire to... which leads me to: Did I miss the details about the triple tun set-up along the back wall? I could not read the name on the conrol panel.

You know what put this over the top? The oldf school circa 1970's heavy stereo receiver you have mounted i there. I too am a lover of those receivers...I have a nice Marantz in my man cave. What model is that and what speakers did you pair tit with?

Thanks for your keen eye, It's one of my favorite receivers ,

Pioneer SX-980 , 80 Watts per channel 1978 vintage , it weighs almost 42 lbs:rockin:

Channel A speakers are Large Advents , with re-capped crossovers
Channel B are Optimus LX5's w/ the Linaeum tweeter that have been highly modified to include Seas woofers and re-capped crossovers+ baffle work.

The system has a huge sound stage that is very warm, plus it's hooked up to a 18' antenna so it pulls in over 60 stations of FM reception.

The silver faced Pioneers from that era , represented the absolute apex of Japanese audio engineering, after 1980 things started to suck .

This is exactly like the one I have my son using for his drumming practice and has been my favorite since 1978 Yamaha CR-1020 on TVK it is a great receiver. Always like Yamaha over Marantz, Pioneer, etc. They were all competing with similar specs I just fell in love with the Yamaha look & sound.

Think I am going to have to take it back!

I just happened across this thread for the first time today. I have to say that you did an amazing job, not that you need me to tell you that. I am most impressed with your use of the space. You have so much in there that makes it awesome, yet it looks like there is a pretty good amount of room to use it for what it's intended for, brewing and drinking!

Thanks, I took lot's of time laying out everything I wanted and needed on paper, then transfered those measurements to the unfinished floor( at the time ). I will be building a closet if you will , in the area of the large SS refrigerator, once completed, I will be able to recess the fridg and have even more floor space, it will also act as a exterior closet to hold my empty kegs, I have a collection of almost 28 ( cornies, 1/4bbl's and 1/2 bbls) at present, and storing them has become a challenge.

Just stumbled across this thread as I'm looking for some ideas on how to make a draft beer system in my home bar. Any updated pictures of how you installed your frig and/or cooling?

Thanks for all the nice comments , it really is a great place to brew, drink and hang out . That's a number 11 stopper, and the orange caps fit well if you heat them in a little hot water first

Awesome thanks man. While we are on the topic of stoppers, does anyone know what size stopper a growler takes? If I want to put 12 gallons of RIS in a sankey to ferment then I am going to need to make a starter in a growler, that is why I am asking.
