Hi all,

I have recently made a homebrewing tools site to help out the homebrewing community. I recently posted on the Homebrewing subreddit https://www.reddit.com/r/Homebrewing/comments/5twsi5/my_gift_to_all_homebrewers_i_created_a_fast_and/ where I received a lot of positive feedback and I thought you guys/girls might appreciate it.

The site is http://www.thebrewlist.com. Please tell me what you think and if you have any suggestions please let me know here.

If this is the wrong section for it or I have not posted enough, could the mods please delete this or move it to the proper section

Cheers,
James

Great compilation. I have been bouncing around to 2 or 3 sites to get to the calculators that you have on one page. A few other calculations that I have found useful are mash/sparge water volumes and strike vs mash temp. Thanks for taking the time to put this together.

Hey guys, I'm glad you're enjoying it. I am actually working on a Mash/Sparge Volume calculator but I will start researching Mash vs Sparge temperatures to add to it :)

Thanks pricelessbrewing, I must have just been updating a few things which is the reason for the downtime. Love the calculator by the way

My sources for the formula are:
Zymurgy (1995) (https://www.homebrewersassociation.org/attachments/0000/2497/Math_in_Mash_SummerZym95.pdf)
Designing Great Beers, Ray Daniels (1996)

A few other calculators use this formula such as Brewers Friend's alternative equation, StraightToThePint and a few others. Some sites are using the more simple formula of ((og – fg) * 131.25) which in your case will result in 8.4%. This simple formula does not have a linear relationship so it will get more inaccurate as your ABV gets higher.

Cheers,
James
