just drank the last bottle of my first brew - a "holiday" red ale I made from an extract kit back the 1st week of January. I put one in the back of the bottom shelf of a storage case in the basement so I would wait 6 months or so to open it. I contemplating keeping it unopened forever perched on my mantle to collect dust over the years - kinda like one of those first $1 bills you see taped to the wall behind the counter at take-out places - but I figured that would be a waste of a good beer.

Thanks HBT - :mug:

So, how did it taste?

Ah yes, of course. Sorry.

It tasted quite good thank you - not sure I can tell if it improved over the past 6 months - it's been a while since I had the penultimate bottle. It was malty and very drinkable. (more info on kit is found here)
