What does "Imperial" mean? I mash my reds hot and go up to 1-1/2 hours with mash and two sparges combined. I think it brings out more tanins and thus twang. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f39/angry-dwarf-ale-little-red-recipe-progress-177479/ I guess - think about it a little. There is more to consider than just ingredients. ...also note: If you title your threads right (You did good on this one) you will have somewhat related threads show up at the bottom of the page to investigate.

What does "Imperial" mean? Click to expand... Imperial refers to the strength. It is a higher alcohol interpretation of any style, usually headed north of 8%, sometimes well north.
