So my first home brew has been in my carboy for a week now, a brewers best kit beer.

You guys here and the amount of topics helping me has been amazing! This site answered every single one of my questions and I was able to make a complete step by step process following directions here and the directions that came as well as the helpfull hints I've received.

This is a picture from yesterday. My inlaws who have brewed a ton more than I and got me interested into this, recomended I filter it again due to the amount of sediment that seems to have formed on the bottom.

The OG was a little high, but reading more I didn't calibrate my hydromator for the temperature of the water so I'll take another reading today.

But thanks again guys! I'm very very excited to keep going on this. Especially since I have a hefeweizen kit just waiting to be brewed.

I can't see the picture- I'll see if I can "fix" it for you.

Edit- it says "image not found". Double check where you uploaded it and let me know if I can help you post it.

But welcome to the obsession with the rest of us! :ban:

Well, wife and I put it in bottles on Thursday and everything seems to be going well.
Question though, does the temp where I keep the bottled beer matter? I followed the instructions with the sugar and water, but I was wondering where I keep them matter?
They're in my garage and I'm gonna let them sit for a week. Needless to say, wife and I are very excited to crack one open this week :)
