Anomaly??? Perhaps..but I have to say my first batch wasn't all that bad..

Tops 100% apple juice no preservatives.
entire packet of fletchers bread yeast....not quick rise(i know that was overkill, but it works)
1lb natural white sugar
1 gallon batch...tasted like junk after primary, let it set for about a month in a secondary...was very good, hell even my wife liked it.

What can i expect from real yeast if this was good?

Adding another quarter sugar to my 3rd batch, used five lbs of suger in my 2nd, good for pancakes...but not drinkable.
 
Bah, spelling....

I'd like to gift this stuff for Christmas, how to make it better.....guess that's a common question, but I gotta ask.

Better yeast I guess would be the obvious..
Sugar, I bet brown would be nice. Meh, I'm just glad im able to turn something out drinkable, and down right angry...very potent.
