Beautiful build so far, can't wait to see the rest.
Thank you!! I would love to do a single tier setup! As of now i do not have a pump so i will probably just do a few batches using gravity. Upgrade later. I did also just snag a third keg. Any suggestions??
Awesome DIY thread :rockin:
I was wondering if you can post more detailed images on how the 1/2" NPT stainless steel 3 piece ball valve attached to the keg and and any other parts you have used, this would really help me out. I'm very new to brewing, but I know I will be going down the same route you are, in the near future.
Thank you, ThwWorm. Nice inspiration for myself. I have started alot slower than this, but it gives me something to look forward to. I will be refering to this thread many times in the future.
My partner in crime has been working on a mash paddle. This is what he has so far. 4 feet tall made out of maple. This thing is rad!

How do you even make something like that? Ridiculous. Jealous.
Here is a quick DIY guide on making a wood mash paddle, that I have done for this keggle setup in preparation for our first all grain batch.

Bad idea if the whole thing falls into the keg when it is cut. Check YouTube for videos by "Bobby from New Jersey". He makes a jig which will not fall thru.Nice work so far, what kind of setup are you going to build, single tier etc...

I have and it worked fineI've cut 5 like this, no issue at all. Have you cut any like this?
Guess I like my fingers an eyes the way they are. So no. I used the jig like Bobbys. Although I will say I did not like the wide flange the grinders leave so I used a small hand grinder and cut the flange back to within 1/4 inch of the outter wall. Also welded the handle openings closed with a couple of pieces of stainless. Increased volume and less worries about boil over. Using 2 kegs and BIAB. Happy with the setup, as I am sure you are with yours. Happy Brewing.I've cut 5 like this, no issue at all. Have you cut any like this?

It is not the lid I would worry about. It is that grinder falling and turning at 10,000 rpm and when everything starts to break apart and flying everywhere.I don’t think it is necessary, but if you want to avoid the lid falling into the kettle, just leave the spear on there while cutting.
