I have the IPA fermenting right now. My question is would it be ok to rack it into two separate carboys so I can dry hop with two different hops or is that to much headroom? I have 6.34 gal or 24liters of liquid.

I did some research the other day because I had a similar situation. I have a bunch of plastic 5gal carboys and wanted to split a batch in two. I found that the headroom does not matter because the CO2 will force out any oxygen. Hope that helps but I was looking for primary fermentation in 2 carboys with a large head space as I do not secondary.
