Hey guys. So at the end of May I'll be moving from MD to FL. I just wanted to see what you guys think about my plan to have some beer for my kegerator after moving in to the new place. My current roommate (staying in MD) will be taking his burner, mash tun, and kettles. So that leaves me without any essential brewing equipment temporarily.

I want to brew 2 batches before move out day, hit em with 30psi for a few days (with some purging of course) and then load them up in my car or uhaul for the trip. Can't guarantee to keep them cold, but if I have to let them settle for a week or so after the move then that's fine with me. Probably overthinking this but it never hurts to get some opinions from fellow home brewers 😎

Thanks!

As long as they are under CO2 there shouldn't be a problem. Commercial breweries ship kegs, after all.

If it were me, I'd hit them with CO2, cold crash them for a week or so, and then before loading them up, I'd pour a glass or two to get any sediment off of the bottom.

As long as they're purged and under pressure, you could put them in a paint shaker and they'd be fine, just so long as you let them sit a day or two before serving.

Hey hey, thats around the time I'm planning on moving out of Florida! Guess you'll be 'takin my spot'. :mug:
