I will be placing my fermenting beer in a different room, or possibly upstairs/downstairs while it ferments. How risky is it to move the brew when it's time to bottle? I understand that you shouldn't introduce air or stir up the trub when you bottle, so I'm a little concerned about sloshing. Could I move it a day or two before bottling, to give it time to settle down?

I find the biggest issue is making sure that I have any doors open before I start to move the carboy. It s hard to open doors with afull carboy in your arms.

I would agree, moving it shouldn't be a problem. My chest freezer (fermentation chamber) is in my garage but I bottle in the kitchen. I move my bucket everytime I bottle and normally let it sit about 30-40 mins before I begin racking and haven't had a problem.

Depends on how steady you can carry the fermentor. I am strong enough that I can hold the fermentor pretty steady as I carry it around so I don't really have to worry about sloshing air into it or stirring up the trub. Also, my secondary is a plastic fermentor, so that makes it a lot easier.
