#1303: This happens every time one of these floozies start poontangin' around with those show folk f@gs.

OR, for ACTION WEEKEND...

People had more than they needed. We had no idea what was precious and what wasn't. We threw away things people kill each other for now.

I swear I know this I just can’t freaking remember what movie it was in. Is it the blade runner sequel?

Damn it I had to look it up and it was one of my guesses. I should have just kept guessing. Good movie though.

Book of Eli?

Apollo: Sorry, you're right. I was only referring to AN actor in the film, not who spoke the line.

The Road was a pretty decent film, but wrong.

Book of Eli is CORRECT. You're UP...

I started to say it was post-apocalyptic, but there are really not that many movies in that category when you think about it.

Where was your avatar pic taken? It looks like "somewhere" in Germany. Were you a Cav pilot around Ansbach/Katterbach?

Tell me if you can guess the significance of this picture:

Munich. Final answer!

WINNER! True. They are 1 liter Maß from each of the Munich's main breweries. I acquired them all from the Oktoberfest. I've been to 8 (different year) O'fests, but attended it at least 12 times (probably more).

I got the Budvar (Budweiser) table cloth in the Czech Republic.

Where was your pic taken?

My father in law was a communications expert in the Air Force. He flew on AWACS and C130s. He was stationed in Germany a lot and had a whole crap ton of steins but sadly they were destroyed in a tornado a few years ago. He has a lot of great stories though.

We have something in common...I've been on a number of C130s...LOL!

I did 2 tours in Germany for a total of 9 years (1975-79 and 1999-2004). I also went over for about 3-4 vacations and a couple more for business trips.

Sorry to hear about the loss, I'm sure more important things are gone too, so I won't make a joke.

I have at least 200 glasses and mugs (remaining). I went through them last year and donated over 50 of them to my daughter's Thrift Shop at the nursing home where she works. She said they all sold out in 3 days.

If you include most all of the zombie movies, 1/2 of the alien invasion or creature features and 1/5 of the vampire movies , there are quite a few in the genre.

The pic is from a little family brewery called Brauerei Martin in a tiny town called Hausen in Franconia. It's outside Schweinfurt, which is where my fiancee is from. Schweinfurt is between Wurzburg and Bamberg. We go over there almost every year to visit her family.

I was a cav pilot - I flew OH-58D Kiowa Warriors in 3rd and 4th squadrons of the 7th Cavalry, but I was never fortunate enough to be stationed in Germany. I get to make up for it now with family visits. We usually stay 2-3 weeks at a time. Franconia (Northern Bavaria) is really where it's at for German beer. Munich is great, but for small, local breweries making amazing fresh, local beer, go up around the Wurzburg/Bamberg area.

Quote coming in a few...

I did 7 years active Army as an Artilleryman (13B). My first tour was Ft. Bragg, NC, second was in Augsburg (1975-1979) which is 40 miles from Munich. I was on the M110A1 8" SP Howitzer, third was back to Ft. Bragg. I got out in 1980 and started working Federal Civil Service in 1981 as a Small Arms Repairer/Inspector.

During part of my "civilian" career I was a LAR (Logistics Assistance Representative...supporting Army weapons...all small arms, artillery, Abrams, Bradley, mine clearing and breaching equipment, etc.) I also supported the Kiowa and Apache. I also went to both schools at Ft. Eustis, VA.

I've been to all of those towns. I worked in Bamberg for 5 years. I lived about 11 miles south (toward Nurnberg) in a small village called Altendorf (old village) that is over 900 years old. Right across the autobahn is a place called Buttenheim. That's where the St. Georgenbrau brauerei (brewery) is. There is a Lowenbrau brewery right next door that has THE BEST Kellerbier I have ever had. I've eaten (and drunk) at both of them many times. The SG gasthaus is a bit more upscale while the Lowen is a smaller that caters more to the blue collar working class and serves great meals in loud, rambunctious smoke filled rooms and friendly people...(always had fun evenings there). Less than 100 yds from it is where Levi Strauss (yes, the jeans guy) was born and grew up.

“You could be in a great deal of trouble. Half a city block explodes in a ball of green flame...GREEN FLAME!!”

I can't believe they're making a remake. I HATE them. There aren't many things that are better than the original.

Speaking of "original"...THERE ISN'T AN ORIGINAL THOUGHT IN HOLLOWWEIRD ANYMORE. Every remake proves it.

I'm almost inclined to stop calling these people "actors" and calling the movies "Green Screen Creations". They have more CGI and effects in them than actual acting.

No...
A remake?
Blasphemy!
The original is perfect as-is!

I just looked up some other stuff on it and they are now saying it’s not a remake, but a sequel.
Not sure it needs one, but at least that makes me feel better.

They're calling it a sequel so they don't say its a remake. I think they use 5-6 different terms to distinguish between one weasel(word) and another weasel(word), but we know it's all the same BS.
