This is my first brew using extracts - did a kit before and it was fairly awful - just wondering if I could share it with you and see what you think
I used
6.6lb of pale malt extract
1lb spray malt extract
Cascade hops
Safale yeast
I got the OG upto 1.054, got the yeast in and left it for 9 days in plastic primary
I have today transferred it to glass secondary and added the Aroma hops
My only point being that I had a gravity reading of 1.020
Im wanting to get this to about 1.012 - is this likely to happen in the secondary or might it happen when I bottle it with the priming sugar?
Also, apart from the lower alcohol content, how does a higher F.G. affect the taste or feel of the beer?
