I brewed a beer that ended up with a higher OG (1.090) than I thought it would, as I had a very efficient partial mash. The "recipe" I had for this called for one pack of yeast so I pitched it, but am now wondering if I should pitch another one? The kicker is that the beer is already a week into fermentation, so it is pretty much done and shows no signs of activity. The gravity after 3 days was already down to 1.024, so obviously the yeast is working well, as the beer was at 8.6% at that time. My question is, since mrmalty.com indicates that I should have 1.5 packs of yeast for this batch, should I add another half pack, this far into the fermentation process?

I don't think you will need more yeast. The damage is off flavors due to stressed yeast reproducing to cell counts sufficient to ferment the high gravity beer. The yeast will have done the propagating and have fermented the beer in 5-10 days (usually) it might take a little longer on this batch. From 1.090 you might get a few points lower than 1.024. I would let it go for about 14 - 21 days then check for final gravity then bottle.
