I'm making a sweet mead and it is done fermenting. So I was wondering if there's any bonus to letting it sit in the secondary or just in the bottles to age?

I always think it's better to bulk age as it makes the whole batch consistent. I leave mine in the secondary or tertiary for a year before bottling.

+1 on that. It makes it easier to rotate it round for racking/clearing purposes and in bulk it's less likely to a varied taste than if you age it in however many bottles it needs....... removes most of the temperature fluctuation issues.

Okay. I'll leave it in the secondary longer. I was asking because I'll need it soon for a mother batch of beer
