na. beer has a ton of b vitamins already. Its the caffeine/ginseng/taurine/etc. mixture I am not fond of. It could just be me being too cautious after the whole ephedra thing a few years ago maybe. So long as you are not adding stimulants, no speedball. But like you said, you can totally achieve the flavors you are looking for. You can use sweet or bitter orange peel, or orange extract. This thread got me thinking about making a "sour" I am pretty sure the sour flavor in energy drinks is from citric acid(vitC) so I am thinking about brewing a sour pale ale. make a regular pale, ferment it, throw some vitC in it then keg and force carb in case the pH kills the yeast. Maybe a little orange in mine also
