I am going to try bottling for brew in a growler for the first time today. Last night I soaked the growler in some oxyclean, but noticed there is mold on the gasket. I let it soak all night and most of it came off, however there is still a little discoloration to the gasket. I scrubbed and scrapped and it still does not want to come off. Does anyone with this will cause problems????? Thanks again.

For the amount of time it will be in the growler, I don't see it as being a problem, probably just a stain now. FYI, don't try priming/pressurizing a growler, it WILL explode.
