On occassion I grind my own wheat to make bread; however, do not care for 100% whole wheat doorstop loafs, so I usually do a 50-50 mix with the fresh ground wheat and all purpose flour. I was wondering if it is possible to use my Monster Mill to remove the bran from the wheat berries? If anyone has tried this how much of a gap did you use between rollers? The one hang up I can think of is that the brewing mills have knurled rollers instead of smooth or corrugated rollers like flour mills that might shred the bran too much for seperation in a sieve.
