Mixed up couplers

I'm just hooking up my system, as there were no instructions with it I put the black couplers on the gas side and the grey on the beverage side. Is this an issue? what is the difference between the two? I have one keg connected now have I screwed it up? do I just need to relax and have a homebrew? well, it's not quite 7am so I might hole off.

Grey on gas. Liquid is black. The gas post has a groove cut around the hex part of the post.

If you’ve gotten them locked on you might have a bit of a hard time getting the coupler off. Go ahead. Ask me how I know. Cheers.

Ok, I got them all switched over. Have I done any damage to the posts or couplers?

No should be fine. Mine have been fine ever since and it’s been a few years.

one of the posts has a wider flare at the bottom as well...but no damage to the sealing part likely
