Hi all.
I'm on my first brew and have a Balliihoo 5 gallon plastic pressure barrel with co2 valve + cannisters ( http://www.balliihoo.co.uk/balliiho...beer-keg-with-s30-piercing-valve-cap-p-9.html ).
I have brewed up 5 gallons of lovely beer, and am really keen to bottle some and keg the rest. Is it wise to not fill the keg with the full 5 gallon from the start? What's the 'minimum' I can put in there? Eg could I bottle 1 gallon (8 pints) and keg the remaining 4? What volume of priming sugar should go into the keg at respective filling volumes?
Let me know if I missed any important details in making decisions on this - as I said, it's my first go so I'm probably naively missing some stuff.
Cheers!
