Mini fridge kegerator not shutting off?

I recently purchased a mini fridge to hold my keg and now after I took the door panel off an modified it to fit it all in, it constantly runs and won't seem to **** off even with it on the lowest setting. What are my options and what can I do or what is wrong??

Yes it gets cold, so cold that even on the lowest setting it froze my keg!

I had the same problem. I purchased a Johnson A419 temp controller and haven't had an issue since.

Where can I find one locally? Anywhere?

A lot of brew shops have them, but if you do not have one locally, you will have to order one. They run about $70

Stick a flashlight inside the fridge, check for leaks. Is there a lot of condensation inside or ice build up on the cooling panel (forget what it's called, condensor?)

Also if you have it on the lowest setting it's gonna cold as heck, try putting the dial in the middle. Some dials are different on some units. Ya may think it's on the lowest setting but on some that means it on the coldest setting.

Yeah I to bought a temp control unit for mine, set it and forget it. And no more guess work what the temp really is..

Screw it, I actually got the place to take back the fridge! So now I'm in a huge Debate, to but the kegerator that I can get from wal mart for 300$ or but a chest freezer and convert it to fridge with a manual thermostat? Pros cons??

Kegerator pros:
Already set up, not much work involved.
space saver

Cons:
if ya have the tower and unless ya install a fan you will get foam on your first few pours.
limits how many kegs ya can fit


Freezer/keezer pros:
room to expand

Cons:
condensation like crazy, install a fan and a humidifier in the keezer
Need a control unit
Can cost more money
Labor intensive
very large

Anyone know of a mini fridge that has a flat bottom,back, and no freezer? So just a mini all fridge with flat bottom?
