I am thinking at trying my hand at a 2-2.5 gal milk stoudt. I don't have any recipe so I am looking for some advice on that and also how to adjust a recipe for a mini brew. I can cut a 5 gal in half to get the 2.5 gal, I am that smart. I also am still using all extracts with a little speciality grains. Also I have never brewed or drank a milk stoudt so this should proove to be interesting.

Check the recipes section - there's some good ones there. Also, there's a thread on a Left Hand Milk Stout clone that lots of folks have made with great success. Cheers!

The left hand milk stout is awesome and not that hard to make. Especially at a small scale. Even my non beer drinking friends love it.

I had a couple bottles of Left Hand Milk Stout my girlfriend's sister brought to Thanksgiving. Awesome beer. Definitely going to make that recipe.

I am going to be making the same recipe in a 2.5 gallon batch. I do all grain but with the snow coming I don't know how much brewing I will be doing out side. My stove won't boil 6.5 gallons so I am going to try the smaller batches. I have a couple 3 gallon Better Bottles ready to go.

This is exactly what I do. In fact, I scale it to three gallons, leave .25 gallons of gunk in the kettle and put 2.75 gallons in the 3-gal better bottle. As long as I use Fermcap, I have never even come close to having a blowoff.
