Received my two other keggles today from PedalBiker. I had purchased the boil kettle from him a few weeks back. The MashTun has a false bottom he made and seems very sturdy. The HLT has some modifications made to it that I requested. I had him add two additional 1/2" couplers above the ball valve coupler for a HERMS coil and a 1" coupler in place of the site valve coupler for an electric heating element. I have two 6" thermowells I will use instead of thermometers in the MashTun and HLT.

To initially heat the HLT I will use propane, then I will switch over to the electric heating element controlled by a Ranco. The MashTun will be hooked up to a march pump controlled by another Ranco to recirculate the wort through the HERMS coil.

O, forgot to mention that I plan on trying to use the HLT and the HERMS coil as a my wort chiller... during the boil I will fill the HLT with ice water and recirculate the wort through the HERMS coil to initially chill it. Not positive how well it will work but I know others have been successful doing this...

Uuuuhhh, You Rat bastard!..........

I just need to aquire one more keg and I will be there.

Nice set-up though,

Cheers

I'm pyched, although its probably going to be a few months before I have them in use as I still have to build my stand and piece everything together - and my available funding is currently running low. Good things come to those that wait I guess... still going to suck waiting.
