Sorry if this topic has been discussed, but my googlefu is failing, and well I just finished a double brew and am too tired to try 100 different searches.
I did my brew, but had problems with my hydrometer so just put my wort into the fermenter an pitched my yeast onto it. However at the end I realized I had enough leftover in my kettle to try a reading. However I couldn't get a clean enough pull from it, so I ended up measuring mostly the slurry left over on the bottom. How accurate was this? Or should I just steal some from the carboy and do a proper reading?
Thanks.
