Hi everyone I have what might be a stupid question. I just got a 10 gallon Igloo round cooler and want to get a false bottom for it. I've done some research on it and some say 10 inch and others say 12 inch. My question is how do i measure for myself to find out, and also how should the false bottom fit into the cooler, should the edges fit tightly in the cooler or can it sit on the bottom with an inch or so around the sides.

Can anyone who has a 10 gallon Igloo with a false bottom tell me what size they used and how it fits in there.

Thanks again for all the help :rockin:

Well to measure it you just take a tape measure from widest point to widest point, inside the vessel.

If memory serves me correctly, 12" is for 10 gallons and 10" is for the fiver.

Edit: Morebeer's website says 12" for 10 gallons, 9" for 5 gallons

I have the typical 10 gallon Rubbermaid MLT with a 12" domed SS FB. As you might be able to see it sits flat on the bottom just inside the curved rise to the sidewall...
