hay all,
help me, it's stuck! my first mead is fermenting way too slow. here're my gravities:

OG ~ 1.1
1month G ~ 1.07
2months G ~ 1.055 (rack to 2ndary)
4months G ~ 1.045

is it ok to repitch? any precautions i should take?

edit: actually, i just read hightest's faq regarding restarting/repitching into must. that should be plenty of info for me but if you've got something to add....

Have you tried adding any nutrients... actually it is probably too late. From now on you might consider the SNA method of yeast feeding. Your repitch might benefit from a SNA, but I've never tried it with a repitch.

Try adding a pinch or to of Epsom salts. It has magnesium in it that yeast likes. Also, try stiring and/or shaking it to re-oxygenate it. That worked for me.
