Has anyone made a good mixer or cocktail recipes that include mead? Like a mead sangria, or a bishop?

um.. well... I have one I guess.

1 packet artificial sweetener, 1 teaspoons lemon juice, 2 teaspoons lime juice, 12 oz medium to dry mead

That's the "Bishop", and it alone could host a whole party on its saleability and tastefulness.

Too many can give you heart burn tough!

I would have to disagree. Just because something is great, does not mean its perfect.

I've found mixing a small amount of merlot with mead takes almost all the heat away from both.

In some cases, the sum can be greater than its parts.

I say try it out...see If you like it.
I will frequently use mulling spices with mead.

It is damn tasty.

I have made mead spritzers and mixed cranberry juice with a sweet mead.

here's what you do.
Find a mead that you like... then experiment. :tank:

if your mead has alcohol 'heat' to it, its not done aging :)

It still has 3 months to go. I ran out of bottles so I had to store some in a 2 liter bottle. I figured I would use it to test the aging, got carried away and mixed it with some red wine and had great results.

Have you ever tried making a pyment?
I am thinking of making that my project for the beginning of next month... Get some pinot noir, pressed grape juice and ferment it w/ some delicious/fresh honey. Give it a year or so to age.
Then BAM! I have plenty of beverages to drink for graduation... And we all know graduation requires PLENTY of beverages and, sadly/ironically/hilariously, most of it will be for my parents since I am the last child to graduate and be off their payroll!
