Hello there all you fellow brewers! I've got here my ready to go readiness of readying ready to brew up some nice Christmas ale. The recipe is based off of The Pols "Holiday spiced ale" recipe. I upped the 2-row malt to get a higher gravity as I want this ale to kick you in the ass. I also choose to put less spices in the brew. Here's the recipe:
Grain
12 lbs 2-row pale malt
.5 lb 120L Crystal
.5 lb Caramunich
.25 lb Honey Malt
.25 lb Special B
.10 lb Black Roasted Barley
2 oz Cascades (I've yet to decide on the hop schedule, probably a base 60 - 15 minute)
.5 or 1 oz of Willamette 2 minutes
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp all spice
1/2 tsp ginger
I'll be putting up some pictures once I get the mash going and have some spare time.:fro:
